Thirty-four contestants, representatives of Brazilian states and islands, start competing for the Miss World Brazil 2011 title today. The candidates are currently landing in Rio de Janeiro and are expected to arrive at the Hotel do Frade, in Angra dos Reis, the venue for the pageant for the 3rd consecutive year, this afternoon.
Global Beauties will bring you full coverage of all 7 fast-track events (Talent, Sports, Best Model, Beach Beauty, Beauty With a Purpose, Creativity and Miss Popularity) and the big final, which will happen on August 13. The final will be watched live by the whole world at UOL, the #1 internet portal in Latin America.
The winner will win, among other prizes, a full-college scholarship worth up to $100,000, a trip to Italy offered by The Leading Hotels of the World, and of course, the right to represent Brazil in Miss World 2011, on November 6, in London.
Miss World Brazil 2011 will be crowned by Kamilla Salgado, the outgoing queen who today has her own tv show and has started an international modeling career.

Brazil is a multi-ethnic country, the only color , the organizers at both the Miss Brasil World and Miss Brasil Universe believe will win is “White Skin”.
This smacks of racism, am I right track on this ??
