Some of this year’s contestants have been visiting children at schools to promote environment awareness and education. This is certainly much more effective than making the candidates wearing bikinis and high heels planting trees or carrying plaques saying “look at us, and stop pollution!”. It shows the pageant evolution, after all, beauty queens are usually admired by kids and can serve as role models.

Actually the fact you guys remembered that Miss Earth contestants used to wear bikinis while planting trees and carrying cardboard slogans means that it was a very effective marketing tool…. you actually remember the environmental message, because the girls did something out of the ordinary, but still you remember the fact that they are promoting tree-planting and stopping pollution many years later

Miss Hungary is sooo beautiful, I hope that she’ll make at least the Top 8, it would be Hungary’s best result ever in a Grand Slam pageant! I love Dora Szabo!
