Marie-Noelle Ada Meyo, 21, from the province of Ngouniéa, won the Miss Gabon 2012 beauty contest. The pageant happened in Libreville, and was attended by Leila Lopes, Miss Universe 2011 from Angola.
Divouvi Channa was the first runner-up and Nyangue Cherolle Boubéya was the second runner-up.
Located in western Africa, it was a French colony until 1960. About 1.5 million people live in the country.
Don’t forget Botswana’s first timer won 1999. It’s not unlikely. She has just as much chance as any other contestant, we won’t be able to tell until the arrivals.
To KL:
Remember MU 1999: First timer Botswana was crowned by Miss Trinidad-Tobago, both not-so-blondes (though Trinidad-Tobago is NOT in Africa). And yes, this happened during the Trump era…
I know that, but what are the odds of that happening AGAIN?
hello gabon! good to have more african coutries participating in the miss universe pageant.
As much as we hope that she will do well at Miss Universe, but what are the odds for a first timer country and to make it even more difficult, a back-to-back win for Africa?
Actually in recent years first year countries have done fairly well. In 2008 Vietnam placed in the top 15 and Kosovo made it to the top 10. Tanzania reached the top 10 it’s first year in 2007. Botswana won the entire contest it’s first year in 1999.
she has that natural look.. some kind of an innocence that is so hard to put into words.
beautiful! i love her. hope she prepares well and she’s not missed in the international arena.

Lovely looking girl, welcome to the Miss Universe family.
she is beautiful. she reminds me of wendy. miss universe 1998.
I second that! She sure is gorgeous, even prettier than Wendy, facially, but Wendy had one of the best bodies that year, I hope Miss Gabon does too! She could be Africa’s 2nd win in a row!
