Mrs. World 2011, the most beautiful married woman on the planet, was crowned earlier this week in Orlando, Florida, USA, and the winner was April Lufriu, Mrs America (United States).
Silvia Cornejo of Peru, a former Miss Tourism Queen International (2008) titleholder, was the 1st runner-up, while Mrs. Vietnam finished in 3rd place.
Rounding out the ‘top 6′ were the candidates from Poland (4th), Russia (5th), and Jordan (6th place).
The semi-finalists came from Korea (7th place and voted Mrs Congeniality), Brazil (8th), France (9th), Panama (10th), Hungary (11th), North America (12nd), Germany (13th), Greece (14th), and Akhazia (15th).
Mrs Spain was chosen Miss Photogenic by press photographers covering the event.
Congratulations!
I was one of the contestants and I can make clear Mrs Vietnam was first runner up Mrs Peru was 2nd and…..the real mistake was that they announce Mrs Poland as second runner up when she was allready out of the 3 which is sad but thinks happens , in my opinion we all deserve to be crowned but must be just one winner and Mrs America deserve it she is sweet lady inteligent and special person! Mrs Dominican Republic .
I want them to bring back former pattern of Mrs World contest. No airing thru TV, unclear judgment of winners, and many gossips currently appear on new Mrs World style. Mrs World must present her maternity and femininity rather than just on stage. I’m afraid that Mrs World will become the uninterested pageant if it does so.
Yes it was a mistake.mrs Peru was 1st runner up but mrs Vietnam stated on stage thinking she was first runner up..Thought mrs Vietnam was 2nd runner up
i think the crown is given to the us
Hi I am peruvian and i heard from a good source that in fact Silvia Cornejo Mrs Peru was very upset because she saw David Marmel the director of the Mrs World Organisation waving to the master of ceremony and telling him to stop…when he was naming Silvia as the 2nd runner up…so obviously there was a mistake there….what we will never know is if Silvia was the winner or USA was the chosen!!!It is obvious that the director will not acknowledge his mistake!!!!
I was there also and Mrs. Peru was not named as the first runner-up, as a previous poster claims, but as the second runner-up. Now if David Marmel did actually try to get the host’s attention when she named Mrs. Peru I have a further question. How would he know that the host was making a mistake unless he had something to do with the choice? Supposedly the judges picked the women. But did they? Or was it Mr. Marmel himself? Because the co-host was reading from the results card when she then named Mrs. Poland as the first runner-up. And Poland wasn’t in the top three, but Mrs. Vietnam was and she wasn’t named at all. So what is the truth? The truth is something is very wrong.
Akhazia? North America? WTF?!!? I saw the videos of the crowning and Miss Peru was on the background. The last two standing was USA and Vietnam and I saw Peru walked out which was very unprofessional considering the fact she used to be a grandslam winner.
I think she know something fishy out there so she walk out, the consolation she got 1st RU but unfair to mrs. vietnam she should be coz she was the second last woman standing on stage before mrs. usa won. Is Juliam Morley the owner of mrs. world? if she was, then no doubt like miss world, mrs. world is a bias and political contest but anyway congratulations to all the winners better luck next time….. but if you are not from europe or amereca eventhought you nailed the question and answer luck is by far…. just like what happen to mrs. peru and vietnam
I was personally there and Yes Mrs. Peru was the 1st Runner Up but there was an unfortunate confusion on stage at the last moment. As far as Mrs. North America, there was not a Mrs. World Pageant held last year (2009-2010) for her to compete in so they let her compete this year to have the chance to possibly become Mrs. World. Yes, I am the Proud 1st Cousin of the Newly Crowned Mrs. World!
ALOHA and CONGRATULATIONS to all! Just want to add with pride, the State of Hawai`i’s, Mrs. Hawai`i 2011, will now will hold the new Mrs. America crown.
Congrads Lara!!!! Im happy for you and Im happy for Mrs. Florida-April. God has blessed both of you this year and he always comes when unexpected.
Yay for Hawaii!!!!
I think there was some mistake while announcing the winner. Supposedly, the last two standing would be either winner or 1st runner up. However, Vietnam finished third place (2nd runner up) but she and the winner were the last two standing.
