David, whether or not Miss South Africa will make the cut at Miss Universe is not the point. The point is that she is allowed to represent an African country even though she is White and the current Miss Belgium is allowed to represent a European country even though she is dark-skinned.

hahaha.. you cant compare belgium to south africa.. a nation which suffered from apartheid for years and a pageant which obviously this year had biased judges….
It is not about Belgium, or South Africa, but the belief you seem to have that certain countries can only be represented by certain “races”. It is the same rationalization that some people have that Blacks and other minorities cannot represent the U.S. How ironic you have your own bias and yet accuse others of the same.
I guess you would know about bias, as the saying goes, it takes one to know one.
trust me miss south africa wont make the top15 cut…lets meet up here again the day after the MU2012 final and we will see. the organization will not appreciate a blonde miss south “africa”?
