Dayana has green eyes, so I think she’s of European descent. But it’s complicated to talk about races in Venezuela. According to Wikipedia, Hugo Chavez has Amerindian, African and Spanish ancestors. So it’s even more difficult to claim that Ivian has the same race with Chavez!
In Venezuela, all races have mixed together for quite a long time. I think all races are beautiful, and some people in countries such as Venezuela are lucky because they may obtain the beauty of two or more races.

Answering some of the posts above…if the President of your country invites you to the Palace what can you do…they still can have different points of view on politics…I think Chavez invited her to the Palace because he knows that she didnt come from a rich family…she struggled a lot like she said…when her parents passed away…and on the other hand about the post on Dayana Mendoza…she is not white..her skin tone is beautiful she is what we call in south america piel canela “cinammon skin” and her eyes are green not blue…i had the pleasure to meet her here in new york…
its a shame that someone like Ivian(sweet , beautiful,classy and humble) needs to get mixed up with such a dictator. Though, I do understand why she needs to!

Wasn’t Hugo Chavez ELECTED president by the people of Venezuela? If he is a “dictator”, then I guess the people wanted to be lead by a dictator.
