The Miss Universo Paraguay pageant held a press conference to announce big changes, which include new and exciting things for this year. Former paraguayan beauty queens were invited to the gala, as well as the reigning Reina Hispanoamericana, Curacao’s Eva van Putten.
Gloria de Limpias, of Bolivian-based agency Promociones Gloria, travelled to Asuncion to present the new organizers of Miss Universo Paraguay: Isabel Mussi (plastic surgeon) and Salvador Mas (prestigious designer), who will be in charge -from now on- of organizing Paraguay’s biggest beauty pageant.
It doesn’t end there. There will be a special gala, on April 20th, to designate Paraguay’s representatives for the 2012 Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss International competitions. The winners will be chosen among an elite group of ladies, who have the necessary preparation and have also competed internationally in other pageants, giving them proper experience to excel in the international arena.
Meanwhile, the main Miss Universo Paraguay pageant will be held on May 11th; and the winners of this event will represent the country in the 2013 international pageants, giving them a whole year to prepare themselves in specific areas and, in that way, achieve a much better participation.

I think Egni Eckert is going to MU 2012. The blonde in the middle. Yohana should go to MW, she was Miss Paraguay 2010.
Yanina Gonzales & Lourdes Arevalos should be invited!!
How are they going to invite them to compete? Both women are married now.
where is Nicole Huber? i thought she’s the reigning Miss Paraguay World?
Maybe Alexandra Fretes will go to Miss Earth 2012 since she failed to compete last year. Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International delegates will be handpicked for 2012. I hope Nicole Huber will be appointed as Miss Universe Paraguay 2012.
Why is Alexandra Fretes still wearing the Miss Earth Paraguay crown and sash? Nicole Huber competed in Miss Earth 2011. Is Alexandra Fretes going to Miss Earth 2012?
Gloria Limpias should start getting the Miss Universe franchise for Suriname, and probably, Guyana. There are lots of good potentials there but for Guyana, the winner always sucks despite some 2 or 3 good candidates per year, and Suriname was never represented after 1999.
Eva Van Putten looks great.
Where’s Yanina Gonzales? Why wasn’t she invited?
I thought Yanina was over-rated at Miss U.
