Mariana Notarangelo (24) from Rio de Janeiro was crowned Miss Mundo Brasil 2012 during a gala held in Porto Alegre on April 2nd.
Notarangelo, who stands 175 cm in height it is not new to the pageant scene: In 2010 she won the title of International Queen of Coffee in Manizales (Colombia) and in 2011 was also the winner of the Miss Global Beauty Quest competition held in Seoul (Korea).
Mariana who comes from Duque de Caxias is a student of Medicine. She will travel to Ordos, China, to compete in Miss World 2012.
The 1st and 2nd runner-ups were Camila Serakides and Karine Barros. Six women competed in the finals of this special edition of the contest held to select a candidate for Miss World due to the change of date.
The Miss World Brazil 2013 competition will take place at the Portobello Resort in Rio de Janeiro on September 22nd.

Lovely looking girl. She should do well in China. Brazil wants to have another Miss World and another Miss Universe too.
Nice body – that’s about it.
Miss Tocantins, sua personalidade me encanta. Quem dera se todas as misses fossem como você. Boa sorte no Miss TQI 2013.
Now that she won and we can’t go back and time and have the tall contestant in the pink dress win, my advice is to darken the winners hair and give her more natural looking make-up. It will do wonders for her.
The girl in pink should have won!
Thank youu!!
thanks for the crowd! I’ll be back next year in Miss Tourism Queen 2013!
Good choice!
She can place in the Miss World semi-finals…
I have to agree with some of the comments, she looks too mature for her age. Her hair is has an unfortunate orangy shade and I think she would be better off with her naturally dark hair colour. Brasil is FULL of dark skinned beauties and year after year they only tend to crown ‘white’ (or whitish) girls, so weird! For every Gisele there are thousands of stunning coloured girls, seriously it is getting boring!!
Clapper, she looks old…nothing to do in MW
Sorry
Nothing special. I don’t like her.
eu sou gaucha e assisti o programa aqui no rio grande do sul e nao acho que ela deveria ter ganhado esse ano mais uma vez o miss mundo nao vai vir para o brasil com certeza
Jorge, please.
Brazil is a country of white people, black people, and son on….If you go to south Brazil you will find most people white, they have german, italian, polish, portuguese, french, spanish, and….many others. See the example, from south Brazil, the top model number one Gisele Bundchen, better you to know about. Cheers.
But only in Rio Grande do Sul, a black delegate has been sent and won!Actually I failed to explain the black one was far more gorgeous, regardless race/color.
She´s too “hippy”, and looks older. The black one(2nd runner up)should be the right choice. A country of blacks always being represented by fake blondes…
Tocantins was my favorite- not necessarily because she is black- in fact she is actually a mulata- I like her because she has style, personality and a strong stage presence- I think she would be better suited to Miss Universe rather than Miss World
Thank youu dear!
thanks for the crowd! I’ll be back next year in Miss Tourism Queen International 2013!
Gorgeous! Good Luck in Ordos!
HJ.
Nice shape.
bravo for brasil yet again.
Beautiful winner. Congrats to the judges & the organisation in choosing gr8 girls including the winner. Miss Brazil Mundo will do well at the MW mark my words.
Vibrant is the right word!
Wow! She’s my bet to win! Great job BRAZIL! <3
She looks old
Congrats. She is very vibrant.
