Tanoesoedibjo and Morley sign the contract that confirms Indonesia as host to the Miss World competition
JAKARTA, INDONESIA April 28 — After the announcement that Bali, Indonesia will host the Miss World 2013 competition, it was confirmed on April 28th that the Asian country will also host the 2015 edition of the beauty pageant.
CEO of MNC Group Hary Tanoesoedibjo and Miss World Organization Chairwoman Julia Morley officially signed the contract that confirms Indonesia as host of the events. The ceremony took place in Kemayoran, Jakarta.
Tanoesoedibjo added that the organization of the pageants in the country does not depend on government funding, as it is an initiative of the private sector. The Miss World 2013 competition in Bali will take place in September.
The 2012 edition of the contest will be held in Ordos (Inner Mongolia), China, in August; Ordos is expected to host the 2014 competition as well.

According to MWO, the 2013 contest will be jointly hosted by Bali and Jakarta.
I imagine that the girls will travel around the rest of the archipelago as well! Exciting!

I heard that since 2009 the MUO has offered Indonesia to host the pageant but the Miss Indonesia Universe Organization and the Government responded that they had not ready yet to hold the pageant!! but I do believe that wif hosting the 2013 Miss World pageant Indonesia will be host the Miss Universe Pageant!! can’t wait to book my trip to Bali!!

Indonesia will be the most amzing and excited country to host the pageant!! yeah Indonesia is not islamic country eventhough most of the people are moslems, they are republic country. and people in Bali is 80% HIndu and the rest are moslem and christians!! MUO came underdoged with its controversies wif alowing transexual and married woman to entitle compete at the pageant!! and noone will be going stupid to pay that huge ammount for hosting the pageant!! best of luck for Indonesia and MWO!! it’s gonna be amazing summer in Bali, Indonesia.
Congrates Indonesia for bagging the two rights to host the pageant. I have been there once as a Child to Bali & Jakarta. May you actually prove to be a good host International.

MWO can very easily to find the host country. it means that MWO is very generous to all over the globe. I can say the best of luck to both country. will be stripped in Asian for this 4 following years!! can’t wait to get the tickets!! i have noticed that Indonesia will be the second islamic country to host the pageant since Nigeria in 2002!! there will be moslem woman crowned Miss World?? so why not. let us find out!!
Neither Indonesia nor Nigeria is Islamic. Yes, they both have large Muslim populations, and in Indonesia’s case, it is a majority population, but both countries have significant populations of non-Muslims. In fact, Bali, where the Miss World contests will be held is almost entirely a Hindu island. Indonesia is also a very moderate country in its interpretation of Islam, which is heavily influenced by the country’s roots in Animism, Hinduism and Buddhism.
2012 : Ordos, Mongolia is the host country
2013 : Bali, Indonesia is the host
2014 : back to Mongolia again
2015 : back to Indonesia
wow for the stereotype 4 years Miss World will be held in Asia. hopefully one of them Asian woman will be crowned MW it’s so dried for Asia not having its woman to win since Zhang Zilin of China won in 2007.

Miss World 2012 will be held in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, People’s Republic of China, not in Mongolia. Just to avoid confusion, Mongolia is not the host country of Miss World 2012 but China!
It seems the Miss World Organization can easily find a host country well in advance, whereas the Miss Universe Organization has been struggling to find a host country, often in the year of the pageant which is really tragic and is going downhill fast.
Well, once you get outside the Philippines, PR, Venezuela and Colombia and a small handful of fans in Mexico and USA, Miss Universe is basically a non entity. It is just that there are many, many highly vocal MU fanatics from these few places who would have you believe that MU is much bigger than it actually is.

its a great news, but i dont know how they gonna do the swimsuit competition indonesia is a muslim country i heard that one indonesian contestant got bad press for wearing a 2 piece swimsuit i dont know if it was in 2006 or 2007 in missuniverse. well corect me if i am wrong .. i still think bali is a great venue for the contest
Miss World does not have an on-stage swimsuit competition.
Bali is a special region. Almost everyone in bali is a hindu, so don’t worry. Bali is a save place for swimsuit competition
Fabulous!!! Miss World has (great) hosts lined up till 2015 — showing us parts of the world many pageant fans have not gotten to know.
Hopefully MU can find something for this year at least.
