WINDHOEK, May 14 — The search for the country’s next beauty queen has begun with the launch of the Miss Namibia pageant last Wednesday.
The 32nd Miss Namibia pageant will take place on August 4th. The gala was attended mainly by sponsors and media representatives where reigning Miss Namibia, Luzaan Van Wyk announced this year’s confirmed sponsors for the prestigious event.
The event was also honoured by the presence of former Miss Namibias.
The winner of the Miss Namibia 2012 competition will represent the country in the Miss Universe 2012 pageant in December, and the Miss World 2013 contest in Bali, Indonesia.
mmm amazing how small the vanue is the celling is so low and its the normal walk way every yeah i agree that the whole planning of the pagent be revamp.i used to love watching it when i was young but the same look made it boring.i hope that this year as they have made a twist to change the number of finalist they too will look at the recomandations here and intrique us///

I think the organiser must seek advice and ask people to assist her. There must be a committee established for the miss namibia, coz every year the pageant lay out is the same, just colour differences. I think we must do it more international etc. miss south africa. technology is not standing still coz i can remember the previous miss namibia and the current one, they are done in the same way. no changes. totally revamp the miss namibia 2012,, so that more sponsors can see the difference and get interested, coz people are no more interested to watch the event. it the ten finalist are announce you can already judge who will win the title. it must be compititions and it must be surprising who the winner is.

pity namibia won’t have a representative this year. bringing the competition forward has thrown the planning of a few nations out and i don’t know why they did it.
Does this mean that Miss Namibia 2013 will go to Miss World 2014?
Miss World 2013 will take place in September so yes it’s probably she will go in 2014

Namibia will not go, due to the change of date. That is why the winner is going to Miss Universe, and then Miss World 2013;

They always say that the winner will represent the country in, both, Miss Universe and Miss World, but sometimes when Miss Universe starts, they do not send the delegate, and that is lying, jejejeje.
That is because they cannot find sponsorship for Miss Universe. But since Namibia will not be competing in MW this year she will go to Universe instead.
