RIP Miss MExico 2012 Susana Flores. Died at a shooting in Sinaloa, Mexico weeks after competing at Miss Oriental Tourism 2012.

Oh My God! He’ll another bogus beauty pageant again??? This is really ridiculous it seems year after year beauty pageants are mushrooming where in fact most winners dont have the responsibilities to do so only wearing those crowns and what? So what we expect for this kind of pageant. Lets expect for more beauty pageants that may come out next year and to the years to come. Chine will rise as the “Land of Beauty Pageant” this idea is really absurd.

I think they should start a Miss European Tourism, Miss Caribbean Tourism, Miss Americas Tourism, Miss Africa Tourism, and Miss Oceania Tourism and have all the winners compete in a grand pageant called Miss Worldwide Tourism.

International pageants are becoming a dime a dozen!

I’m thinking of some delicious pageants:

Miss Chow Mein Tourism, Miss Sweet and Sour, Miss Orange Chicken, Miss Noodle Soup, Miss Spaghetti, Miss Curry International, Miss Chicken Adobo, Miss Tamales de Pacifica, and Miss World-Burrito !

      Yummmmmmmyyyyyy!

Why all the hatred against CHINA? Leave CHINA alone!

¡Otro concurso más, y de esos de “turismo algo”! ¡Otro concurso que se celebra en China! Como que aburre, ¿no?

China always think their beauty queens are beautiful when in fact all of them practically look plain and the same that’s why they always put their girls in the top 3. Wake up China! Don’t be so overly nationalistic.

Another new pageant… again? And just like the other one (I think it was named Miss Yatch Model International)it was held in China… again.

    GB currently has:
G2 (for the two main international pageants) MU and MW.
G.P. (for Grand Prix) which includes MI, ME, Supra, etc…

Suggestion: To be fair, a third category should be added by GB:
G.A.O. (for Gosh,Another One)and will include Miss Yatch, Miss Oriental Int’l, Miss Coffee With Cream and Sugar, Miss Fried Banana, Miss Potato, and Miss Tour Bus International Universe of the World.

Smile. Atleast, it’s fun, and it’s not another scandal… again.

I have to say, these are not particulary nice looking girls. China just have to put their girl in the top three don’t they. Yawn….

    • G

Just because China isn’t white, doesn’t mean she’s not beautiful. This is 2012 and pageants are going downhill in popularity because they don’t embrace other colours of beauty, just white.

CONGRATULATIONS TO CHINA FOR WINNING 3RD PLACE.

  • No NETHERLANDS????????????????????????????

Pageants have never been totally fair. People claim that China always placed when they are the host but so is Philippines always ahead of other countries when online voting is involved. With Miss Universe applying “fan vote”, Philippines will always make Top 5 regardless of the quality of their girls. This alraedy happened last year and in 2010

    • @Sushmita: FYI: Portugal (not Philippines) won the fan vote in the Miss Universe 2011 pageant (thus obviously, Portugal entered in the top 16). With regard to the results of fan votes during swimsuit, evening gown and interview portions in Miss Universe 2011, it didn’t have any bearing on the final score of the semi-finalists/finalists as the judges had the final say as to who shall advance on the next round (i.e., top 10 and top 5), and ultimately, wear the crown. Fan vote results during the live telecast of the pageant served only as a sort of “poll/survey” to determine the viewers’ choice for the title.

Philippines landed on top 5 during the 2010 and 2011 Miss Universe pageants (back-to-back) based on their own merits. By merit, it means beauty, quality and substance of the girls who represented the Philippines.

If you have doubts why your country did not enter in the semi-finals,perhaps,you need to revisit and make a reflection on what really went wrong: Was it really because of the “fan vote” or was it because of the quality of the girls you are sending?

  • Perre

Only 2 of the TOP 10 have the quality to be,Poland and Brasil, this is a big SCANDEL by choosing the TOP 3

  • Mark Alber

The jury need to have better taste in choosing the winners,EYES and no EYES

  • luka-luka china again

this is ridiculous….china as runner up again?…..dont contradict you got sensored…

  • china is the one to beat….when it is the host..

  • laughter

ALL MADE IN CHINA! EVEN THE CROWNS!!!

    • G

Racist and bigoted comment. Why is this even allowed? If China didn’t produce so many products, we’d all be without many things and/or pay a lot higher, so please get an education.

  • dyosa

I’m not surprised that CHINA is one of the finalist…LOL..What else is new?

    • G

Miss China deserved her place and should’ve even won it. Enough of the sour grapes just because she’s not the typical white standard of beauty. Beauty should be in all colours and not just white.

  • RCR

Costa Rica, felicidades, Miss World Costa Rica 2012, Silvana Sanchez, ;)

  • Mark Alber

    China again :(
    Both Montenegro and Serbia ????

  • sofia

En china ultimamente se han hecho nuevos eventos de belleza, al parecer los chinos les interesa mucho estos eventos, bien por ellos, lo unico que espero, que los hagan bien, sin trampas, que sea trasparente la eleccion.

  • yardstick

china will most of the time a runner-up if it’s the host country.

    • G

No. It’s because she deserved it. Why doesn’t anyone complain when a Latina makes the cut undeservedly? Look at Miss Brazil at Miss Universe placing 2nd runner-up because it was held in Brazil?
