Tara Teng (23) from Fort Langley, BC, was crowned Miss World Canada 2012 during an event held in Richmond on May 13th. She will now represent Canada at the 62nd Miss World finals in Ordos, China, in August.
Her Miss World project is to advocate for the victims of human trafficking and modern slavery, from developing nations to Canada. Her work as an activist has earned her various award recognitions from non-profit organizations. XINHUA
