25-year old Iris Thomsen, from Østerbro/Sjælland, was crowned Miss World Denmark 2012 during an event held at the Kokkedal Castle on May 18th. Iris, standing 180 cm in height, will represent Denmark at the Miss World 2012 finals in China next August.
The runner-ups were Emma Nødebo Ørum (1st), Monica Isabella Hartig (2nd), Cecilie Arvidsen (3rd) and Bintu Sonko (4th). These ladies will represent the country in various international competitions throughout the year.
My goodness, there are so many beautiful girls in Denmark, and she is too old,and have no chance, let the 1st runner up to take her place.
She should be dethroned bcoz she’s old as per the rules of MWO. There is no way they can allow her to compete in MW. If the 1st runnerup is younger she can represent Denmark at MW & she too looks gr8.
Can’t see her clearly in the pic above, but I believe the judges chose the right lady to represent Denmark…
i think 25 is still no-no for MWO, they might accept her but not qualify her for the 1st Cut.
Authorization of the MWO???????? THIS IS A BIG JOKE. Why MWO will give this authorization only for Miss Denmark World????
Miss World roles is 17 to 24, but in 2010 Kazakstan was 27, Miss World doesn’t have a sence of Geography and is very disorganized.
25 year olds have always been allowed to compete upon authorization. Like I said, 26 and 27 is pushing it a bit.
isn’t 25 over the MW age limit ?
25-year olds can compete upon authorization of the MWO. 26 and up are off limits.
