MOOOOOOO!!! The cows have a new queen. The new International Queen of Cattle 2012 is from Ecuador, Gabriela Armas (former Miss TQI Ecuador), who beat 10 other contestants for the title.
11 international beauties took part in the International Queen of Cattle competition held in Monteria (Cordoba), Colombia, on June 17th.
Venezuela (Maria Jose Brito, former Miss TQI Venezuela) came in 2nd place, and was named the “virreina”. Cattle queens from Colombia, Dominican Republic and Argentina came in 3rd, 4th and 5th, respectively.
Gabriela Armas also represented Ecuador in the Miss Tourism Queen International pageant last December in Xi’an, China, where she won the Miss Friendship award.

It is not Reina Internacional de las Vacas like Erasmo says; it is Reina Internacional de la Ganaderia. This type of beauty pageants start as part of regional events and grow to the point that they become international pageants. The main event in a “Feria de la Ganaderia” (cattle fair)is the cattle show, where the people who have businesses with cattle get together to show their animals, sell them, purchase other animals, eat, drink, dance, etc, it is a celebration for the region. The pageant is just something added to the fair (feria) and many people do not care much about it, except for us beauty pageant fans.

Colombia and China should be paired in the pageant competition why cause they keep making pageants with so strange name but in the end the winners dont have a job. They win only just for the sake of contest which is ridiculous. Why waste money in creating a pageant where winners dont have much time to do their job as queens of their respective title. What the hell is going on their minds. I think we should watch out for the upcoming beauty contest that maybe creating a thousand kinds of pageants like the said above. I would not be surprised if they create Miss Queen of The River and maybe Queen of Asian and many others. Those pageant is a waste of time.
They entered it only for the title and the prize money. Their only obligation, it seems, is come back next year to crown their successor.
I have to admit, Miss International Yacht Model is stretching it…but International Queen of Cattle?

Cattle? What the hex the new queen is gonna do for the cows? Will she represent the cattle and opposed to kill those animal for meat or what? Nowadays, there are many competitons but their name are so funny and dont mean anything, for instance, Miss Leisure, Miss Boat or something, and now, Miss Cattle. Next time, Queen of Nut.

Int’l Queen of Diapers, Int’l Queen of IPhone’s, Int’l Queen of Kidney Transplants…at this point they’re just assigning any random name to these pageants.

Pageantry has exploded a lot. It’s all thanks to pageant magazine websites especially GLOBALBEAUTIES because pageantry can now be compared to boxing, sports, etc.
Heard Queen of Coconut was already taken.
