Christelle Mbeni, from the province of Bandundu, is the new Miss Congo 2012, crowned in a ceremony held at the Grand Hôtel de Kinshasa, in Kinshasa.
Mado Bafana was the 1st runner-up, while Cathia Lubolo was the 2nd runner-up.
The Democratic Republic of Congo returns to Miss World after 4 years. Its debut happened in 1985, when the nation was known as Zaire and Benita Mureka Tete was a top 15 semi-finalist and named Queen of Africa.
Christelle will compete in Miss World 2012, in the city of Ordos, China, on August 18.
She is very lovely in her own right.
