Culpo, the new Miss USA: "We won the night!!!"
According to TV By the Numbers, NBC won the night in adults 18-49, but CBS got the edge in total viewers. ABC’s season premiere of Secret Millionaire earned a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating, which is down more than 50% from last years in-season premiere (which earned a 3.4 adults 18-49 rating).
The season premiere of Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition also earned a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating, which is more than 30% lower than the 2.2 rating last year’s summer premiere earned.
NBC’s Adele: Live in London special earned a 1.7 rating.
The live broadcast of the Miss USA Competition earned a 1.8, down by 18% from last year’s competition. Earlier in the night, Dateline NBC earned a 0.9, up three tenths from two weeks ago.
The only original program on CBS was 60 Minutes at 7PM, which earned a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating, which is flat with its last original from two weeks ago. FOX was all repeats.
The Miss USA 2012 competition got a total 6.16 million viewers and a 1.8 share. The 2011 show ended the night with 7.42 million and 2.2/6 share.

I am in USA I hope to watch first time LIVE and my family has NBC but it wasn’t possible watch on TV, why??? nor in internet neither too!! why???? I f NBC shown a low rating they must to know whys????
Well, the end is clearly in sight. Celebrity Apprentice was down over 30% for the finale, a record low, and now this dud. I doubt NBC has any desire to renew this lot. Telemundo, here we come!
There was a lot going on that night, I don’t get why so much criticism to the pageant. For me it was modern, with great music, and certainly more entertaining than any Miss World pageant. Nothing is perfect

Me too. The last time that there was a really great production was 1998. I miss the class and glamour of the old days.
Hard to really do a comparison when it’s not held same time every year.
IT WAS COMPETING ALSO AGAINST THE MTV MOVIE AWARDS AND THE MIAMI HEATS VS. BOSTON CELTICS GAME…..OBVIOUSLY THE RATING WENT DOWN.
