Salome Khomeriki (20, from Tbilisi) will represent Georgia in the 2012 Miss World competition in Ordos, Inner Mongolia (China) in August.
Salome stands 179 cm in height and was 1st runner-up in the Miss Georgia 2011 competition. She was designated to represent the country due to the shift in the date of the Miss World competition.
The Miss Georgia 2012 pageant is expected to take place in September/October, with the winner competing in Miss World 2013 and the runner-up in Miss Universe 2012.
I am glad that the Miss Georgia 2012 winner will have a year to prepare for Miss World 2013. Last year’s winner was absolutely spectacular, but severely handicapped by her one week of preparation.
