Over 40,000 people are expected to welcome the 120 beauties competing for Miss World 2012 at the opening ceremony which will take place at Dongsheng Fitness Centre Stadium. Julia Morley, CEO of MWO, is already in Ordos and following preparations from a close distance.

miss world before 2003 was better in terms of the audience getting to know the girls, two interviews sessions and then a final answer was perfect..
miss universe now a days is all about the body and not so much on brains, however i much preferred MU when it was with just one question, it was more fair… but in terms of production last years MU was million times better than MW, im forever bored all how long and strenuous the production is for MW. the opening number last year was the same as it was in 2001, that is not cool!
MU knows how to make their presentation more exciting, regardless of the size of the stage.
Miss World 2012 is only the first pageant of the year. You have to wait the rest.

I liked Miss World’s format in the 90′s and I got turned off after the new format were introduced…it felt boring at times and the judging panel doesn’t seem to make sense. Now, I’m glad MW is starting to change the to retain my interest.
miss universe got the quality, production wise..it has the glitz and glamor..Ms. world has the quantity..that’s all..both aim for business..no distinction..
Miss Universe’s glitz and glamor is overshadowed often by selecting the same old type of girls due to politics and ratings have gone downhill as a result. People are tired.

I hope Miss World can exceed what the Miss Universe had done in terms of production value. Usually, the production numbers are boring and the cameras move very fast to capture the more than 100 candidates.
Difficulty in finding a host country does not necessarily mean that the Miss Universe Organization is not organized.
Miss World is a more serious pageant. Miss Universe is becoming a big dissappointment. They can’t even find a place to hold the event this year. Miss World always so well organized.

miss Universe has become a trashy pageant,they can’t even find sponsors nor a host for their 2012 pageant, miss world has already got host citys for their 2013 and 2015 pageant!…. and as Javier said, their pageant HAS A PURPOSE!!!
Miss World is outshining Miss Universe in terms of organization, beauty of candidates and purpose! Miss World will outlast Miss Universe in the history of beauty pageants!
Size it is not all, we have to see what they do with all that white surface or it is going to be just plain… also they are 120 countries they have to make the stage bigger
Wow just compare this stage to the one that Brazil presented in Miss Universe 2011…I think Miss World is becoming the Big Pageant of the year!!!! I like that because they have a good purpose and they help the needy people more than Miss Universe…..
