Lại Hương Thảo (21) from Hai Phong city, was crowned Miss Supranational Vietnam 2012 during an event held at the Ba Na Hills Mountain Resort in Da Nang city on August 5th.
Standing 168 cm in height, Thai will represent Vietnam at the Miss Supranational 2012 competition in Sopot, Poland, September 15th.
This is the first time Vietnam celebrated an exclusive national level pageant to select a representative to Miss Supranational. The Southeast Asian country debuted in 2009 and entered the Top 15 semifinalists, was absent in 2010 and placed in the Top 5 finals in 2011.

Actually, she was crowned “Hoa Hau The Thao” (literally Miss Sport in English.) The title Miss Supranational Vietnam isn’t correct but she has the right to represent Vietnam in Miss Supranational 2012.
