The annual “Gala de la Belleza” of the Miss Venezuela competition, now renamed “Gala Interactiva (Interactive Gala)” took place on August 11th at the Venevision studios in Caracas. The first titles were awarded:

Best presence: Maria Teresa Solano, Barinas
Miss Natural: Claudia Baratta, Merida
Miss Personality: Nohedy Olivares, Zulia
Most Beautiful Skin: Daniela Chalbaud, Distrito Capital
Best Face: Oriana Lucchese, Miranda
Miss Interactive: Nerys Diaz, Portuguesa
Most Radiant Hair: Peninsula Guajira
Beautiful Smile: Vicmary Rivero, Lara
The finals of the Miss Venezuela contest will take place at the Tamanaco hotel on August 30th. The winners will participate in Miss Universe and Miss World 2013.

I like Miss Sucre the most! I have only seen, in my 19 years of watching pageants other Latin/Hispanic countries send a few delegate that was a representation of the minority groups of those regions. Miss Sucre has a beautiful face to me. I would like to see her hair straightened, but I understand why she does not. She is natural.
Venezuela has always impressed me the most out of all the Latin countries because the MVO has sent Afro-Latina’s and Amer.Indian Mixed delegates before. Even delegates with the bluest eyes and blondest hair. I feel like the other Latin countries can take note and need to step up their game. Keep up the good job MVO! Im always watching and looking out all the way from the USA!! Go Miss Sucre!

Why do Venezuelas always have that same hairstyle? All the girls that won had the same style except for Miss Portugesa and it’s the same style that Ly Jonaitis, Dayana Mendoza and Vanessa Gonçalves all had at Miss Universe.

Osmel has officially announced there will be a separate contest for Miss World Venezuela, starting next year. This year’s Miss Venezuela pageant will choose representatives for MU, MI and ME.
