definitely miss world is indonesia……..beleived me knock on wood……………im a fortune teller….indonesia is miss world 2013…..

  • Jon

It is going to be spectacular. Another lavish and grand Miss World pagea. Slowly, but surly, it is separating even from MU as the single most important and relevant pageant in the world. Now, all they have to do is introduce even more of an onstage competition….but recent years have slowly shown that it is inching towards that.

  • jim

this news explains why indonesia placed in the semifinals last year..

  • ImIndo

Well, Indonesia is a Country with the Muslim Majority, but as You know, Indonesia is a tolerant country, because 6 religions are recognized and practiced. Most of the Indonesian Muslim are open minded, but there is extremist but just minority, so don’t worry!

Im a Muslim, but I respect any other religion and I do love pageant.
    :D

    Welcome to Indonesia
    Peace!
    :D

The last time this pageant was held in a Muslim country (Nigeria), hundreds and hundreds of people were killed because of their protest of this pageant.

  • momo

ha ha ha miss world 2013 is Indonesia.?…

  • Jymz

Philippines should not boycott MW they are one of most successful country in this pageant ( top 10 – 2002, 4th ru – 2003-2004, top 10 – 2005, 1st ru – 2011, top 16 – 2012) . not to mention there placements in the past decades.

  • Gauss 918

Miss Universe should take place in the second quarter of the year just like its original format.

  • thierry

miss indonésia the new miss world 2013!
    first runner up miss philippines!
i think that all the contestants would stay in their countries!
    ah!ah!

  • Mark

Miss world 2013 is Indonesia =)))))) In a recent appearance to beauty contests aren’t fair and host countries often win or have a higher position

  • Pedro Chadid

I adore Miss World is the most important beauty Pageant now!!!

    • Sushmita Sentimo

It may be brilliant to hold this contest in this predominantly Muslim country. Indonesia is the biggest Muslim nation in terms of population. I hope this will not turn out to be “chaos” as what happened in Nigeria in 2002 where Muslims had retaliated and drove the pageant away that then moved the finals in London that year. Djakarta is surprisingly modern and a booming metropolis. But tourism is concentrated mostly in Bali. We’ll see how this turns out. I hope MW does not repeat the same mistake of holding the pageant in the Muslim world.

  • GBQUEEN

I LOVE MISS WORLD. ITS THE QUEEN OF HE GRANDSLAM. I WISH FOR IT A SUCCESSFUL YEAR IN INDONESIA. I HOPE BEACH BEAUTY TAKES PLACE IN BEAUTIFUL BALI.

  • Julia

Well, now we know that next Miss World will be Miss Indonesia… haha

    • JayPee

Miss World was held in Sourh Afica for many years and Jula did not crown any Miss SA as a winner. Unless Indonesia produces a worthy delegate, their Miss will not win just like that…

  • grace

Hope there is a swimsuit competition!!! Please!!!!! And no repeat of the past big mess and riots in India and Nigeria ! Good luck!

  • vimalma

A mi no me enganan.!

  • Ken

Will Miss Universe go back to September as well now as many have said?!

  • Vince

i hope Miss Universe also takes place in September. Then we’ll know whether the national directors of some countries would send their BEST delegate to MW or MU (France, South Africa, etc..)

  • David

So, now we know Indonesia will definitely place in 2013.

  • juneday

i hope indonesia will favor more on asians candidates…

  • Harwita

    Welcome to My Country

  • Pipo

there’s gonna be commotion of moslems? I see no swimsuit parade…

How much is the hosting fee?

  • Nikolay

Indonesia is the largest muslim country in the world by population… It will be interesting to see the reaction of the people towards the pageant and for most for the swimsuit competition ( usually done separate from the main night)…I know Miss World doesn’t emphasized is that category ( making it less exiting) BUT I think even in Indonesia this competition should happen and I don’t see how that will be seen and accepted by its people.

  • Jymz

the venue is awesome! I know little about Indonesia sure I will learn more by watching miss world in a different way.

  • Jymz

great venue for sure china well not win or probably placed.

  • Bayou

Good luck to Indonesia for hosting MW 2013. Hope they will do a great job.

  • Alfred

I just wish all the best to this Miss World edition. Indonesia is very exotic country and very secular; I just hope conservatives and fundamentalist Islamic groups won’t affect the logistics of Miss World and turns out into another Miss World 2002.

    • GBQUEEN

most Muslims in Indonesia are modernist and tolerant. The pageant will run smoothly. There is a swimsuit segment in Indonesian pageants too.

The pageant in Nigeria would have gone well had it no been for a comment blown out of proportion by someone not even associated with MW.

      • JayPee

As fas as I know, there is no swimsuit segments in any of the Indonesian pageants. Unless they have a closed door-judges only mini judging in swimsuits, the media and public sees only the on stage gown and interview segments.

      • JayPee

I think the riot was a result of a comment made about Mohammad to marry one of the Miss World contestants. “A ThisDay (Lagos, Nigeria) newspaper editorial suggesting that Muhammad, would probably have chosen one of his wives from among the contestants had he been alive to see it, resulted in inter-religious riots that started on 22 November in which over 200 people were killed in the city of Kaduna, along with many houses of worship being burned by religious zealots” (Wikipedia)

  • Ros

Miss World is bias against Philippines, Philippines should boycott this pageant. Miss World will not be complete without Philippines. Then only Julia Morley will opens her eyes wide.

    • RG

lmao really? you think without Philippines, MW will be less credential. haha brilliant. You have to tell us what you eat on daily basis to be this delusional.

    • Marko

Stupid comments like this are reason why filipino fans have so much haters.. You dont even make sense. i want to high five you in the face with a chair.

    • XYZ

Placements in 6 of the last 11 years and that’s not good enough??? I guess you have to win every 2 or 3 years?

Honestly, just call your bluff and stop sending delegates. You’ll get a very harsh (and well-needed) wake-up call that international pageants do NOT need your participation to be credible.

    • Bayou

Oh puh-leezzz…!!!! For the last 2 consecutive years, Philippines has placed in the semis, it even managed to be 1st runner-up in 2011, not to mention previous other placement in the past; while there are still many other countries that have never ever made it yet I don’t see them complaining, so quit whining!

      • nakahipi

engeterang bayou! bitter as in bitter gourd in my country philippines!

        • Bayou

No one is bitter here but you. Talking about boycotting MW when your country has been pretty much successful in it. Meanwhile there are so many other nations who have been participating in MW forever yet have never placed, yet I don’t see them posting negative messages online threatening MW. Why can’t you just act positive and be grateful with what you achieve? Do you think your attitude is appropriate, whining and bickering when other countries have never been as quite successful as the Philippines??? SMH.

    • Witot

Are you a filipino or pretending to be so people will hate filipinos?

    • vanillajane

We Filipinos maybe ‘pageant obsessed’ but we are not dumb and stupid to comment like that..

  • Carlos Javier

    I should announce the results in reverse order… In 3rd place… In 2nd place…
    And MISS WORLD 2013 is…

    • Albert

      Indonesia jejeje!

    • Phoenix777

In 3rd place is Mexico (for obeying Mrs. Morley’s order in electing their representative and for making up to last years Mexico’s very deserving winner), in 2nd place and runner up to Miss World is Peoples Republic of China ( for being the all time favorite) and Miss World 2013 is Indonesia ( for hosting this years edition) Peace! :)

  • FCHY

    Miss World the best pageant…

  • JayPee

Looking forward to Miss World. Hope it will be a record breaking group as well as the most competitive.
