Cameroon won world fame because of its soccer team, especially after it became the first African nationa to reach FIFA’s World Cup quarter-finals, in 1990. Now it will try its luck in Miss World, as its first ever representative was crowned in Yaounde, on August 9. The winner was Denise Valérie Ayena, 22 years old, 1.80 m-tall.
Alice Elisabeth Aboya Nkono was the first runner-up and Irène Grace Fouda was the second runner-up.
Denise will compete in Miss World 2013, on September 28, in Jakarta, Indonesia.
