Wales and Kyrgyzstan elected their representatives for Miss World 2017 over the last weekend.

Cardiff University graduate Hannah Williams has taken the title Miss Wales 2017.

The 23-year-old from Pencoed, Bridgend, was one of 32 finalists from across the country in the running for the crown this past weekend and will now represent Wales at Miss World in China in November.

The runners up were 18-year-old Maryanne Petrnolis, a beauty consultant from Swansea, and 24-year-old Jayde Reader, an event manager from Cwmbran.

Meanwhile, in Bishkek, Begimay Karybekova was crowned Miss World Kyrgyzstan 2017 and will also compete in Miss World 2017, in China.

Miss Universe debut

A local media outlet has reported that Kyrgyzstan will compete in Miss Universe as well this year. We still do not know who will represent the country there.
