La Pampa takes the crown

RIO HONDO -17-year old Agustina Quinteros, Miss La Pampa, was crowned Miss Argentina 2008 at an event held in Rio Hondo (Santiago del Estero) on Saturday.

The 1.75 m beauty will now represent her country at the Miss World 2008 pageant in Kiev, Ukraine, next October.

The first runner-up was Miss Santiago del Estero, Ana Belen Regatuso; the 2nd runner-up was Miss Tucuman, Camila Solorzano; and the 3rd runner-up was Miss Buenos Aires, Yesica Di Vincenzo.

Completing the 10 finalists were the contestants from La Rioja, Cordoba, Corrientes, San Juan, Salta and Chubut.

24 women competed in the annual event, organized by Belleza Argentina since 2004, which sends representatives to Miss World, Miss International, Miss Earth, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Atlantico Intl, among others.
