Miss Honduras Universe 2008

Tecucigalpa, HONDURAS - Diana Barrasa, 21, was proclaimed Miss Honduras Universe 2008 in an event which La Prensa, a Honduran newspaper, called "surprising", once the big press favorite, Bélgica Arias, had to settle for second place.

The new Honduran beauty queen represented Olancho, although she is originally from Tegucigalpa, the capital city of Honduras. She is a student of Journalism and Communication at Unitec.

La Prensa has also informed that the new Miss Honduras Universe will wear a national costume designed by Colombian artist Alfredo Rueda and inspired in the Suyapa Virgin.
