Miss World is in Mexico

Mexico City, MEXICO - Miss World 2007 Zi-Lin-Zhang is currently in Mexico, where next Saturday (april 19) she will be a special guest at the traditional San Macos Fair.

The stunning Chinese beauty has been accompanied by Lupita Jones, the Aztec country national director, and by Carolina Moran, Miss Mexico World 2007 and 2nd runner-up at last year's Miss World pageant. She's been participating in tv programs and other media events.

Zi-Lin-Zhang, who is a sport's lover and has herself been a track-and-field athlete, will carry the Olympic torch in her country along with Chinese movie star Jackie Chan on May 4.

Miss World has been working to promote the importance of education in her country, the most populous on the planet. "Some areas are very remote and people have no access to education. I want to give my contribution in the hope that one day even those people will have access to proper education", Ms. Zhang concluded.

She will crown her successor on October 4, in Kiev, the Ukraine.
