Miss World Brazil 2008 kicks off with Beach Beauty contest

Angra dos Reis, BRAZIL - Miss World Brazil 2008 kicked off at the Eco Resort Angra, Angra dos Reis, Brazil, where 10 finalists hope to become Brazil's 50th representative in Miss World. Yesterday the Beach Beauty Brazil 2008 contest took place at the shores of the resort's exclusive beach, and Vivian Noronha Cia, Miss Paraná Umuarama, resulted elected. In 2nd place came Miss Minas Gerais, Tamara Almeida Silva, while Miss Paraná Maringá, Anelize Garcia, was 3rd.

Beach Beauty Brazil is a preliminary contest inspired in Miss World's Beach Beauty competition.

"The swimsuits I created for this competition were inspired in the 1950's fashion trend, with a touch of modernity", explained Jacqueline Aguilera, Miss World 1995 and fashion designer who is attending the competition in Angra dos Reis as a special guest.

The new Miss World Brazil will be chosen on July 26, at the Centauro Gala Room, Eco Resort Angra. The winner will be crowned by Regiane Andrade, Miss World Brazil 2007.
