Miss World Brazil to be crowned in 'paradise'
Angra dos Reis, BRAZIL -
Miss World Brazil 2008 is to be crowned in paradise: the Eco Resort Angra, voted the best resort in Brazil twice, will stage the election of the 50th Miss World Brazil. Located on the eastern tip of Rio de Janeiro state, the resort offers peace and tranquility on the shores of its stunning exclusive beach, refined and delicious local cuisine, all types of sports activities and plenty of contact with nature.
On July 26, the Eco Resort Angra will welcome ten of Brazil’s most stunning young women, one of whom will be crowned Miss World Brazil 2008. The 10 finalists were chosen among finalists and semi-finalists from the pageant’s 2006 and 2007 editions. States and islands’ representative will be competing at the 2009 Miss World Brazil pageant, in November.
During the show, tributes will be paid to some former Brazilian titleholders, such as Lucia Petterle, so far the only Brazilian to have been crowned Miss World, back in 1971, and Sônia Maria Campos, Brazil’s first representative in Miss World, in 1958, who in a recent interview declared that “participating in Miss World was like living a perfect dream” (read the interview).
Jacqueline Aguilera, Miss World 1995, designed and produced the swimsuits candidates will be wearing during the event. The Venezuela stunner will be a special guest at the pageant.
The Eco Resort Angra and the Miss World Brazil Organization invite everyone to be part of this fantastic event. Guests at the resort from July 23 to 27 will receive free invitations to watch the pageant at the hotel’s Grand Gala Room.
