Norway will have new pageant for Miss Universe
Oslo, NORWAY - Lisa-Mari Moen Jünge, who was crowned Froken Norge 2007 and has already participated in the Miss World 2008 pageant, has not been accepted by the Miss Universe Organization as the Norwegian entry for Miss Universe 2008. The reason is that her successor has already been chosen, Lene Egeli (read more about it HERE).
Since Lene must by contract participate in Miss World first, the Froken Norge Organization decided to stage a new and exclusive national pageant for Miss Universe: Norwegian Miss Universe 2008.
The show will take place on May 31 and 10 finalists from Froken Norge 2008 contest were selected to compete.
Norway has won the Miss Universe title once, back in 1990, when Mona Grudt (photo) was crowned in Hollywood, California.
As for Lisa-Mari, she will now represent Norway in Miss International 2008, in Macao.
