Miss Thailand Universe kicks off

Bangkok, THAILAND - A few days ago the final casting for Miss Thailand Universe 2008 took place at the Pullman Bangkok King Power in Bangkok. From over 300 applicants, the team of Thai beauties was trimmed down to 100, and then the 44 official candidates were finally selected.

The Miss Thailand Universe delegates will participate in a series of activities in Bangkok from May 13 to May 22. The Presentation Show will be held on May 23 and the final competition will happen on May 24, at the Aksara Grand Theater in Bangkok.

The winner will represent Thailand at Miss Universe 2008 in Vietnam. The 1st runner-up is expected to compete at Miss Earth 2008, while the 2nd runner-up will go to Miss Intercontinental 2008.
