Costa Rica wins beauty title in the Dominican Republic

PUNTA CANA, June 1 – Johana Solano, 18, the representative of Costa Rica, won the Miss Latin America in the World 2009 title, edging out other 22 beauties. The pageant took place in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The runner-ups were the candidates from USA, Brazil, Canada and Guatemala.
