Romania returns to Miss Universe after 11-year absence

BUCHAREST, June 27 – She's 20 and was born in North East Romania - Piatra-Neamt, in the Romanian side of Moldova. Her body has a size to dream about: 88/61/91 and she's 1.74 meters tall. Her hobbies are "driving and, of course, shopping, like any girl". She wants to become TV presenter.

Bianca Elena Constantin was chosen Miss Universe Romania 2009 after the contest from June 29. She also received a special award from the press and will represent Romania for Miss Universe 2009, a competition to take place in Bahamas, in August 23.

Bianca was chosen in a final where 23 competitors took part. 50% of the score was awarded by the jury and 50% was awarded through TV-voting. The press had a special prize to offer, on behalf of beauty specialists and Mass-media representatives.

The finalists competed in five categories: casual costume, bikini, folkloric costume, evening dress and the personality interview. The 1st runner-up was Georgeta Filip, while the 2nd and 3rd runner-ups were Maria Liana Timis and Ioana Natalia Onet, respectively.
