Model from Maracaibo confirms favoritism and bags Miss Earth Venezuela's crown

MARGARITA ISLAND, June 13 – Jessica Barboza, a native of Maracaibo, is the new Chica Sambil Model, or Miss Earth Venezuela 2009. A favorite since her arrival in Margarita Island, Jessica will now get ready to compete in the Philippines.

Andreina Gómez, the runner-up, will represent Venezuela in Miss American Continent 2009, in Ecuador.

The other runner-ups were:

2nd runner-up: Nataly Navas
3rd runner-up: Juliana Leal
4th runner-up: Sara Angelinix

Humberto Acevedo, Venezuela's correspondent for Global Beauties, was one of the judges.
