Nuestra Belleza Hispana USA 2009
Winner will represent the U.S. Hispanic community in Hispanic-American Queen 2009

New York City, USA - Genesis Barrientos of New York was crowned Nuestra Belleza Hispanica USA 2009 in an event held at the Aaron Davis Hall of the City College.

Genesis (photo, left), succeeded Glenys Sánchez (center).

The 1st runner-up was Yuleiky Mena, the representative of Pennsylvania, while Dania Martínez, of Illinois, was the 2nd runner-up.

Among the special guests at the event, was the current Hispanic-American Queen: Brazil's Vivian Noronha Cia. She was one of the judges.

The new titleholder will promote AIDS/HIV prevention and fight against domestic violence.

Next October she will travel to Santa Cruz, Bolivia, where she will try to become Hispanic-American Queen 2009.
