Indiana Sanchez will represent Nicaragua in several events

MANAGUA, March 7 – Indiana Sanchez (21), a nursing student from Managua, was crowned Miss Nicaragua 2009 during a show televised live from the Ruben Dario National Theatre on March 7th, 2009.

Indiana -chosen Miss Photogenic- stands 1.78 m in height, and will represent Nicaragua at the Miss Universe 2009 pageant in the Bahamas. She will also compete in other international events.

The 1st and 2nd runner-ups were Slilma Ulloa -who competed in Reina Hispanoamericana 2007- and Maritza Rivas.

16 women competed in the annual event.
