Italian beauty will represent her country in the Bahamas

Riccione, ITALY, May 25 – The Miss Universe Italy 2009 pageant took place yesterday night, at the Palariccione, in Riccione, Italy.

The winner was Laura Valenti, who edged out 23 other beauties from across Italy.

Last year Italy placed among the top 10 in Miss Universe 2008, in Vietnam. Laura will try to keep the Italian streak going.
