The native of Dunblane, Perthshire, screamed “Oh my God”, as she was declared winner

Glasgow, SCOTLAND, May 15 – Katharine Brown is the pride of Scotland — after being crowned Miss Scotland 2009.

The beautiful blonde beat nine other finalists to land the glittering crown and title at Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium. It was a night to remember as the 2,000-strong crowd clapped and cheered for their favourites.

She will now get prepared to represent Scotland in Miss World 2009, in London and South Africa. The new Miss World will be crowned in Johanesburg, on December 12.
