July 12, 2010. The elegant and well spoken Awurama Simpson, a college student studying in the field of Health Sciences, today earned herself the prized title of Miss Universe Ghana 2010. Awurama’s selection by a distinguished panel of judges in a special selection event in Accra, was based on her intelligence, charming personality, beauty, elegance, and poise.
The 22 year old third Year Student of Montgomery College, USA, aspiring model and television presenter will be Ghana's representative at the 2010 Miss Universe™ Pageant to be held at the Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, NV, on August 23, 2010. The eleventh in a series of worthy ambassadors to represent Ghana at the world’s most prestigious pageant event, she joins the ranks of other remarkable young women around the globe who have the honour and responsibility of being ambassadors of their respective countries to this international event.
The producers of the Miss Universe Ghana property stated, “After weeks of scouting, we are excited to present a remarkable Ghanaian woman, who we are confident, will make a poignant statement for Ghana at the international event.
