Miss Sri Lanka Universe 2010

COLOMBO, July 4 - Ishanka Madurasinghe was declared Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Universe 2010 during the Miss Sri Lanka finals held in Colombo on Sunday. Ishanka, 1.74 m tall, was among 12 contestants who were selected for the finals held late this evening. The 23 year old Kelaniya University student is pursuing a degree in history.

Her ultimate goal was to represent Sri Lanka internationally at the Miss Universe pageant and she says she is sure the experience she have gained during past pageants as well as in the field of academics will help her better represent her country.
