Venezuela wins Miss Tourism Intercontinental 2010

MIRI, May 21 - The city of Miri, Malaysia, witnessed the final of Miss Tourism Intercontinental 2010. The candidate from Venezuela, Myriam Janeth Abreu Medfina, 22, edged out 32 international beauties and walked away with the sash and crown.

The first runner-up was Miss Australia, Kelly Louise Maguire followed by Miss America (United States), Amy Diaz as the second runner-up.

Misses Belarus and Thailand rounded out the top 5.

In the top 10 were the candidates from Brazil, Latvia, Tunisia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

The pageant is aimed to promote the state of Sarawak, located in the island of Borneo.
