Miss Intercontinental 201o is Puerto Rico

Peru (2nd), the new Miss Intercontinental, from Puerto Rico, and Bahamas (3rd)

PUNTA CANA - A resort located in Punta Cana, a tourist spot in the Dominican Republic, witnessed the election of the representative of Puerto Rico, Maydelise Columna, as Miss Intercontinental 2010.

The runner-ups, from 1st to 4th, were: Peru, Karen Schwarz, Bahamas, Anastagia Pierre, Dominican Republic, Olga Lidia Navarro Santos, and Colombia, Macrielena Velez Sanchez.

Rounding out the group of 15 semi-finalists were Greece, Bonaire, Samoa, Paraguay, Ukraine, Jamaica, Philippines, Moldova, Venezuela and Poland.

There was no live telecast of the event.
