WINNER: MISS VENEZUELA UNIVERSE, LY JONAITIS
Lydimar Carolina Jonaitis Escalona, known in the pageant world as "Ly", is the winner of the Sexiest Woman Alive 2007 award. She now joins the league of Diana Nogueira, Evelyn Mikomagi, Evelina Papantoniou, Demetra Eleftheriou, Miyako Miyazaki, Laura Shields, Leonora Jimenez and Kurara Chibana as recipients of this honour.
Ly was a top favorite for this award among both judges and fans voting during the poll. She is the second latina to win the title (after Leonora Jimenez of Costa Rica), and the 1st Venezuelan to take this achievement.
After a successful year in the beauty pageant arena, there is no doubt that Venezuela is indeed, the Powerhouse of Beauty!
