Two days only before the Miss Supranational 2009 final, and the 36 contestants have been rehearsing around the clock to deliver a perfect show. Do not miss the opportunity to witness this event! The contestants visited the town of Plock on Saturday, where they did some shopping and then visited the City Hall. An appearance at the Plock Festival, along the contestants of Miss Poland 2009 and Miss Poland Teen, was the highlight of the afternoon.
The 36 contestants of Miss Supranational took part in the opening of the St. George Hotel in Ciechocinek, official hotel of the pageant. After addressing special guests and dignataries, Miss Polski 2008 Klaudia Ungermann was in charge of cutting the ribbon that inaugurated this spectacular hotel.
Following the grand opening of the St. George Hotel in Ciechocinek, the Miss Supranational contestants participated in the National Dress Competition and Talent night in front of an audience of hundreds. After difficult deliberation, the results were as follow: -Best National Dress: Vietnam, Chung Nguyen
The contestants had the opportunity to visit Toruń, for some sightseeing, photo opportunities with locals and some shopping. Toruń is a city in northern Poland, on the Vistula River, with population over 207,190 as of 2006, making it the second-largest city of Kujawy-Pomerania Province, after Bydgoszcz. The medieval old town of Toruń is the birthplace of famous astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. In 1997 it was inscribed onto UNESCO’s World Heritage List as a World Heritage Site.
The Miss Supranational 2009 contestants visited on August 24th the northern city of Gdańsk, where they were invited to lunch and had the opportunity to do some shopping and sightseeing. Gdańsk is the city at the centre of the fourth-largest metropolitan area in Poland. It is Poland’s principal seaport as well as the capital of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. |
