Charlotte Labee (photo), a 22-year old model, was crowned Miss Universe Top Beauty Netherlands 2008 on May 31st. The 1.80 m beauty will represent the Netherlands at the Miss Universe 2008 contest in Vietnam.
The 1st and 2nd runner-ups were Jelena Petrova and Milou Verhoeks, respectively.
Labee's victory marks the return of the Netherlands to the Miss Universe contest. Their last delegate was Sharita Sopacua, who competed in 2005.
The country also had a strong participation in Miss Universe: Angela Visser won the crown in 1989; Pauline Huizinga became 1st runner-up in 1991, and Vivian Jansen was among the top 6 finalists in 1992.
