MISS UNIVERSE 2008 TO BE TELEVISED IN HD (HIGH DEFINITION)
NHA TRANG -The Miss Universe 2008 Pageant Organizing Board and UniCorp have recently announced the application of High Definition Live Television technology to broadcasting images of the Miss Universe 2008 Pageant to over 170 countries.
MUO and NBC experts (United States) will coordinate with the International Telecommunications Center (ITC) to install necessary broadcasting equipment and satellite truck; accordingly, the satellite-based broadcasting system will deliver the telecast signals to the orbit-fixed satellite.
Previously on May 15, 2008, the Organizing Board and ITC coordinated with MUO and NBC experts to conduct the testing and collect satellite orbit parameters for the best broadcasting to other countries.
At the same time, the Organizing Board will also use the Standard Definition (SD) Broadcasting Technique to serve countries with SD television systems in a bid to deliver the best images of Vietnam to the world.
Nguyen Quoc Toan, CEO of UniCorp and Vice Head of Miss Universe 2008 Contest Organizing Board, said, “To apply the HD Live Television System is a great effort of the Organizing Board in a bid to deliver the images of a vivid and dynamic Vietnam to other countries in the world. The Organizing Board is completely confident in the expertise of technicians who operate the systems.”
