I believe that your national costume depicts and represents the pristine, tranquil, crystal, clear,blue waters of the splendid beaches of our home land and also the breathtaking spectucalar underwater sea life!!!! good luck with the preliminaries!!!! god bless!!!!

    Miss Italy: Red dress and a green hand-fan.

    Reminds me of when I was 6 years old in the second grade. I’d forgotten we were to have a Halloween costume parade that day. Late for the schoolbus, my mother tossed a blanket at me and told me to be an Indian.

    About the same amount of effort Miss Italy took with her outfit.

    This group has the best national costumes. My favorite is the costume of Miss Tanzania and I love that picture of her in it. Other impressive national costumes are those from Miss Japan, Miss Vietnam, Miss Thailand, Miss Russia, Miss Peru, Miss Canada and Miss Greece (very simple, elegant, and of course, she looks like a female god from the Ancient Greek Mythology)

    all the contestants from asia had the best costume, malaysia’s was the best!
    panama, trinidad, thailand, indonesia, vietnam, phillipines and japan stood out the most!

    It’s truly a disappointment that some of these girls fail to realize that they are representing their countries and demonstrate this by showing up wearing a party dress or a bikini while holding a basket or some object and choose this to show the world that this is what represents their country. Come on girls wake up! Show the world the beauty and flair of your country. Pick a national costume that shows what your country is all about. Don’t just pick something out of the closet and add a few items and say “this is what my country is all about”. Someone please tell the pageant directors they need to send their delegates with proper attire. This includes a decent national costume.
