Former Miss World and Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra will appear before an estimated global TV audience of one billion when she takes to the stage as very special guest at the 59th Miss World Final 2009, on Saturday 12 December.

Presenters of the show will be China’s leading TV presenter Angela Chow and South African TV host Michelle McLean. They will be joined by special guest from India, former Miss World Priyanka Chopra, who won the Miss World crown in 2000 and has now established herself as one of the leading actresses in Bollywood.
The show will be screened around the globe, with many countries taking it live to a massive TV audience. Broadcasters include United States (E! TV), India (Zee TV, Hindi and English language versions), South Africa (SABC3), China (CCTV2), and Russia (CTC).
As well as showcasing the 112 contestants, the live broadcast will feature exciting presentations by South African and international artists, as well as some of the contestants’ own talent performances, including Canada and Sierra Leone who jointly won the recent Miss World Talent Show.

Michelle McLean and Priyanka Chopra are both excellent presenters of the show. I think Angela Chow is one too many here ))) She’s not so beautiful like Michelle and Priyanka.

There are to many coincidences, Michele Mclean received the Miss Universe crown from Lupita Jones (Mexico), Maybe this year a former Miss Universe announce Perla Beltran (mexico) as winner.
Anything can be possible.
Yes, Michelle McLean is indeed a former MISS UNIVERSE and MISS WORLD finalist. She is a former TV presenter and now resides in Cape Town, South Africa.
Though I must admit it is rather strange to have a former MISS UNIVERSE host MISS WORLD.
However she is awesome, articulate and absolutely gorgeous.
ANYBODY knows if MISS WORLD 2009 FINAL TELECAST can be watched online thru internet ? Where ? Thanks.

Michelle McLean is a former Miss Universe titleholder. Why will she be hosting Miss World? (I do know, for a fact, that she was a finalist in Miss World 1991, the year before she was crowned Miss Universe.) I still don’t get it.
Go Priyanka Go ….. Chopra gets Chopra for the crown !!!
the host is Michelle McLean.
is that Namibian Michelle who won the 1992 Miss Universe crown?
Hi. Thanks for all of the great news. However, I am wondering why this story mentions Michele McLean as “a South African TV host” only and does not mention her greatest achievement, former Miss Universe and finalist at Miss World? One would think.
Regards
NN
It is so exciting now the final is near Good luck to all the contestants! Judges please pick the best Miss World who is humble, inteligent, sweet, not overly confident and beautiful. These are the qualities a Miss world should have for 2009.
Wow, she is prettier then in 2000!:)
Isn’t Michelle McLean (Miss Universe 1992) Namibian?
