The judges who had the difficult task of choosing the winner of the Miss World Talent Fast Track in Johannesburg on November 22nd decided to declare a tie and give the award to joint winners: Miss Canada (Lena Ma) and Miss Sierra Leone ( Mariatu Kargbo) were both announced as winners of the competition and are now fast-tracked into the Miss World 2009 top 20 Semi Finals.
2nd place went to Miss Korea, while 3rd and 4th places went to Miss Norway and Miss Australia, respectively.
The other finalists were the contestants from Bahamas, Barbados, Georgia, Suriname, Mauritius, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Guyana, Gibraltar, Serbia, Thailand, Spain, Indonesia and Zimbabwe.
Miss world Canada(Lena Ma)is the best from Canada !

i truly believe this whole portion of fast track events are really awesome, it gives women more chance to prove themselves. i think the miss world pageant is always fair and in the end always picks the right winner or the one whom has potential to do really well!

VSA, thanks for taking the time to explain. I personally think that all the Miss World delegates have a wonderful talent, namely the talent of being beautiful women! I think this should be more than enough for a beauty pageant. Maybe it is my “old fashion” opinion, but I still don’t agree how delegates are chosen

Well cliff, you have to remember its a modern era for Miss World, and theyr really celebrating womanhood. This include acknowledging women with exceptional talent, purpose & athletic abilities. Think of it another way, the semi finals is really about 10 girls, the 10 chosen by judges, Top 2 from each region. Those are the girls who are really competing in the end. Mini Contest winners, are really there to acknowledge the other things we find beautiful in women. Except the physical, which is paraded in the Beach Beauty segment, none of the other mini contests matter, in the finals
, so think of the semi finals in terms of 10..and not 15/16, and then youll be OK . hehehe
I really think this is the WRONG way of selecting delegates for the semi finals!!! I am sorry, but there are beautiful girls out there that will not get a chance to be in the semi finals because other delegates happen to have a special talent. The judges should pick all semi finals no matter if they are good in singing, dancing or any kind of sport.
