i think the surprises this year might be from uganda, zimbabwe, paraguay, indonesia, kazakhstan, martinique & belgium. none have had much of a mention but could make the finals

brought back a few memories. been watching miss world since the early 6os. in fact i watched the 1967 contest outside a tv shop window because i’d fallen out with my friend who had a television. doesn’t mean i’m an expert though as i havn’t picke the winner since 2001

Oh my God. What a nostalgia! It makes my hair raise (in a positive manner). I love seeing old clips and to hear the late Eric Morley’s voice anouncing, “Miss World 1991 is Venezuela!”
Whilst Miss World came to my senses just in 1993, I was able to watch clips of the pageant since the 1960s and I think it has gone a log way – from flour bomb to fleeing from Abuja in 2002.
Way to go Miss World! Kudos!
