If in 2016 South Africa had slippid from 8th to 16th place, last weekend´s MU victory put it back in the Top 10, now in the 7th position. Venezuela remains on top, with both Colombia and Philippines moving up and tying in 2nd place.

Leaving the select group of 10 Miss Universe powerhouses is Dominican Republic, previously 10th, now 11th. Jamaica, up 3 notches, is now 12th, being very close not only to the Top 10, but also to taking the number one position in the Caribbean. Thailand keeps on moving up  consistently and is now in 14th place (+4).

Unable to defend its 2007 points, South Korea suffered a huge fall, going down 25 positions (now 52nd). Meanwhile, Sri Lanka placed for the first time in 62 years and is back to the Miss Universe Ranking in 47th place.
